In medicine, we often relate to feeling “called” to our field. Answering our calling is what gets us through the hard years of training. However, once we are done with training, we can find ourselves feeling more like it’s just a job we clock in and out of to pay the bills. Today we discuss a parable that I find useful in evaluating how we think and feel about our job.
